Fees on this page are for 2009. New fees for 2010 will be available early December.


Membership Year - important dates:

DAA Membership Year:

1 January - 31 December

DAA's membership renewal period begins early December for the new membership year.

Early Bird Discount* date for renewals on or before:

15 February

All services cease and APD status and other benefits are lost if renewal is not completed on or before:

15 March 

(Member becomes unfinancial)

Membership is 'Lapsed' if renewal not completed on or before (previous members only):

19 April
(Reinstatement fee applies thereafter for all, other than deferred [maximum three years] members, regardless the date of reinstatement)

Membership fees at half price* 1 August

Following year membership fees paid, membership year will be the following year

Early December

*Full membership fees must be paid up until 1 August after which time 
ELIGIBILITY for reduced membership fees applies to:
- New members;
- Deferred or resigned members;
- Lapsed members.  One exception: Members who were financial in previous year (eg. 2008) and lapsed in current year (eg. 2009) are not eligible for reduced membership, unless compassionate grounds can be demonstrated.

*Early Bird DISCOUNT :  -$22.00  (or -$20.00 without GST*)
(if renewal completed and paid on or before 15 February)


Membership fee categories and costs

Before selecting your membership fee category for the current year, please review the list below. Declarations: The categories 'Part-time', 'Not currently employed', 'Not working in related industry' and 'Retired' require you to sign a declaration and to advise DAA if your circumstances change.
Paid employment in any field is taken into account in determining the appropriate membership fees.

New fees for 2010 will be available early December.

Members paying in this category are not eligible for APD status. If you wish to be part of the APD Program, you must pay in either the Full or Part-time category

publications (including Newsletter and Journal) will not be supplied in hard copy.

Associate (Retired)  Retired from employment for reasons of health or age (over 55 years).
This is a partial services category - Does not receive DAA Journal, access will be via the DAA website

Associate (Student) Currently enrolled in an Australian human nutrition course and not eligible for student dietitian or full DAA membership $110.00
Associate (Overseas) Dietitians living outside Australia who are current full members of an overseas national dietetic association which is recognised by the International Confederation of Dietetic Associations and who are not eligible for full DAA membership. This is a partial services category - publications will not be supplied in hard copy. Access will be via the DAA website. AU$250.00*
